The MD 520N is a single-engine, high-performance light aircraft made by McDonnell Douglas. It was designed to be easy to maintain and economical to fly. The first prototype flew in 1973 and the first production model was delivered in 1975. In total, 1,187 were produced until production ceased in 1997.
