The Pitts S-2C is a two-seat aerobatic biplane with tandem seating. It was designed by Jim Beasley and first flown on September 19, 1963. The aircraft has an aluminum tube fuselage construction with fabric covering and is powered by a Lycoming O-320 piston engine of 185 horsepower.

The Pitts S-2C has been used for competition in the Unlimited category as well as other categories, including War bird racing events like Reno Air Races or World Championships at Oshkosh (WOW). This aircraft also saw service both in military and civilian roles before being replaced by modern jets during the 1970s. Yet it still remains popular among airshow pilots around the world.
