Global 6500 Production
On May 27 2018, Bombardier introduced the Global 5500 and Global 6500 at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition 2018 (EBACE2018) in Geneva, Switzerland.
In May 2018, the company signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with HK Bellawings Jet, a business jet management company based in Hongkong for the delivery of 18 Global 6500.
On September 24 2019, the Global 6500 entered into service.
In October 2019, it received its type certification from Transport Canada. On the same month, the aircraft was launched at the National Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
On December 23, 2019, Bombardier delivered the first Global 6500 to HK Bellawings Jet.
Global 6500 Design
The Global 6500 business jet is 30.3 meter-long and 7.8 meter-high, with a fuselage diameter of 2.6 meters. The aircraft features open living spaces, sophisticated interiors and enhanced performance. With a speed of Mach 0.90 and a cruise speed of Mach 0.85, the Global 6500 connects city pairs such as Hong Kong or Singapore to London nonstop.
The wing has a span of 28.7 meters, newly designed to provide better and advanced aerodynamics for a more pleasant flight. It boasts an integrated wing design with a fully reconfigured trailing edge, integrated engine core and an ultra-slim line nacelle that provide excellent levels of performance, flexibility and comfort.
Global 6500 Flight Deck
The Global 6500 presents the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck, the first in the industry to feature synthetic vision imagery on head-up display. By incorporating the best in technology with exceptional designer aesthetics, it gives the pilot an out of the ordinary level of control and comfort. It integrates four large display screens, a head-up display (HUD) and a combined vision system (CVS).
The aircraft is also outfitted with graphical flight planning systems, an airport moving map (AMM) that helps the pilot to improve situational awareness through own-ship rendering on runways and taxiways, and a MultiScan weather radar.
It also features the newest performance-based navigational aids, including a Wide-Area Augmentation System (WAAS) which provides service for all classes of aircraft in all phases of flight- including en-route navigation, and airport departures and arrivals, a Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) and Area Navigation (RNAV) system, a Required Navigation Performance that lets the aircraft to fly a specific path between two 3D-defined points in space, and RNP authorization required (AR) approaches.
The Global 6500 also features a Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) as a means of communication between controller and pilot, using data link for ATC communication. It also has a high-speed Satellite Communications (SATCOM) technology.

The aircraft has the widest in-class cabin that provides the passengers an extraordinary mixture of space and style. It has a length of 13.18 meters, height of 1.88 meters and width of 2.41 meters. It features a club suite that is made perfect both for work and relaxation. It also has a separate crew rest area, a forward lavatory, and a functional kitchen with high-quality cooking amenities. There is also a baggage compartment integrated into the cabin.
The aircraft can seat up to 17 passengers. Presenting the Nuage seat, it brings class-defining comfort for every passenger with its tilt link system for a deep recline, a tilting headrest for exceptional comfort and a floating base for fluid movement.
Global 6500 Engine and Performance
Engineered for total performance- the Global 6500 features a versatility that is beyond compare. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl engine, it has a maximum thrust of 15,125 lbf each. This engine is purpose-built for the Global 6500 that allows it to fly faster, farther and quieter.
